NHS Long Term Plan Survey 2019

Thank you to all Reading people who took the time to share their views on healthy living, NHS priorities and your own care needs. The survey closed on 30 April 2019 and we published findings in the summer. We are now waiting for the local NHS body (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshrie West Integrated Care System) to publish its final response to the survey. This is due out mid November 2019.

The more people share their ideas, experiences and concerns, the more services can understand what works, what doesn't and what people want from care in the future.

The future arrangements for NHS commissioning in your area

Have your say by 1 December 2019

People are being asked to have their say about changes to the way NHS services are planned and funded (formally known as 'commissioning') in our area.

Under the plans, a single accountable officer could be appointed for Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning CCG (CCG), Oxfordshire CGG and Buckinghamshire CCG. A merger of the three groups is also proposed for the future.

CCGs are made up of all the GP practices in their area, plus NHS administrators and managers and they decide which health services should be funded in our area.

Your experience of hospital eye services

Have your say by 30 November 2019

NHS England is asking people at risk of sight loss to share their views about outpatient clinics, especially since April 2018.

People are being urged to write or upload a video or recording of themselves talking about their experience - you don't need to name the staff or hospital involved - just give your views on how you think the NHS could learn from your experience.

You could say what its like booking the appointment, how well the clinic communicated with you, and how well the clinic ran on the day.
