Three cheers for our health guide!

First-year students at the University of Reading have given our new health & wellbeing guide a big thumbs up.

Healthwatch Reading handed out a free pocket-size guide to students at the University of Reading's Freshers Fair on 26 September, to help them navigate local services.

The guide aims to help people, especially those new to Reading, find local doctors, mental health services, sexual health clinics and more.

Our 2018 survey of students found less than one-third said they would know how to access medical help.

After feedback about the original version of the guide which we produced in 2018, we made a smaller version for this year. We also have an online directory of services available to students.

Give us a call if you’d like a copy of the guide.
