Have your say on proposed active travel schemes
Local people are being asked about their changed transport habits due to the pandemic and their views on four schemes for Reading that could contribute to better public health.
Reading Borough Council has secured £1.179m from the government's Active Travel Fund to help encourage more cycling walking and use of public transport.
A public consultation is now being run in an online survey by the council until 23 April 2021 to find out whether people have stopped driving as much due to the pandemic and taken up healthier alternatives. People are also asked for views on four proposed schemes to introduce segregated cycle lanes, improve crossings and other changes to help make it easier for people to cycle to various parts of town including the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the University of Reading and the Oracle shopping centre.
