We are pleased to introduce the new manager of our advocacy service, Reading Voice.

Maria Falzetti joined our team at the beginning of the August 2021. She describes herself as “a very positive person” and has extensive experience working with vulnerable people, most recently managing a care home for people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.

Maria is the first point of contact for social workers and NHS professionals who want to make referrals for people entitled to statutory advocacy, including Independent Mental Health Advocacy and Care Act Advocacy.

Reading Voice also helps people wanting to make formal NHS or social care complaints and we can provide advocates for parents in Child Protection cases, Litigation Friends, Appropriate Adults and 1.2 Representatives.

Maria will work with our team of six advocates, including two from our advocacy partner TalkBack.
