Walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations have re-started at the mass vaccination centre in Broad Street Mall in Reading Town Centre.

From Monday 10 January 2022, people can drop in to the centre to get first, second or booster doses. Or you can schedule an appointment at the centre via the national booking service.

What can I get if I walk in?

  • First or second primary vaccine dose for people aged 12 years and over
  • Third primary dose for people aged 12 and over with a weakened immune system
  • Booster dose for people aged 18 years and over
  • Booster dose for people aged 16 and 17 who are at high risk from COVID-19
  • Booster dose for frontline health and social care workers
  • Boosters for people with a weakened immune system who have had the third dose (if they have a letter from their GP or hospital specialist)

Can I still book an appointment at the centre?

Yes: book online via the NHS national booking service or call 119.

When is the Broad Street vaccine centre open?

Usually 9am-7pm every day but check the  NHS walk-in vaccinations page to check latest opening times.

Which vaccine make will I be offered?

  • Your first and second dose should be the same make. Availability may vary from day to day.
  • You can have Pfizer or Moderna for your booster dose, regardless of which make you had for your primary doses.
  • You can find out availability of particular vaccines at the centre, a few days in advance, on the NHS walk-in vaccinations page.

The Broad Street mass vaccination centre is being run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
