Healthwatch Reading recognised at the Feast of Eid ul Adah, by the Sudanese community

Updated: Jun 20

Sunday 16th June marked the Feast of Eid ul Adah and was celebrated at King Meadows Park in Reading, with a community gathering and BBQ.

Along with other local organisations, including Utulivu Women's Group, Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality (ACRE) and Care4Calais, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Healthwatch Reading for their work with local communities and community groups, by Sundanese Reading Youth United.

"Thank you for sharing your challenges with us so that we can share your voice involving health and social care services locally.
This community showcases their commitment to supporting and working to integrate their community into the wider Reading society. This is what belonging looks like."

Alice Kunjappy-Clifton, Healthwatch Reading Lead.
