We spoke with 34 people (more than half of whom were aged over 75) in the waiting area of the Eye Clinic, during two visits on 28 January and 11 February 2015.

Summary

  • People gave very positive feedback about treatment and care received from nurses and doctors which helped them to improve or maintain their vision
  • 18 out of 34 people were unhappy with administration – such as the clinic cancelling appointments at short notice, or difficulty getting through on the phone
  • 17 people were unhappy with the waiting time from referral to first appointment
  • 3 people told us they had been waiting two hours to go in for their appointment
